Brief Background:
Ar.,EnP. Carlo Fundador B. Marudo is both a licensed and registered Architect and Environmental Planner under the Professional Regulations Commission (PRC) and has at least Fourteen (14) years of foreign and local experience in the Design, Planning, Construction, and Construction Management professions. He is a certified Construction Project Manager by the Department of Trade and Industry — Construction Manpower and Development Foundation (DTI-CMDF) and an accredited Construction Safety and Health Practitioner by the Department of Labor and Employment-Bureau of Working Conditions (DOLE-BWC). Having worked under the guidance of illustrious Architects Edilberto and Edric Marco Florentino of E.Florentino3 + Associates, as well as gaining valuable international knowledge and experience, Ar. EnP. Carlo Marudo, together with his life and professional partner, Ar. Idr. Marian Eileen “Star” F. Marudo, also a licensed and registered Architect and Interior Designer, formed Cix Cigma Design, Planning, and Construction Management (Cix Cigma DPCM).
He gained his Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Santo Tomas, Manila in 2004 and became a licensed architect in 2005, and also took and passed the PRC exam for Environmental Planners in 2011. He is currently finishing up his Masters Degree in Construction Management at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines – Open University (PU-OU). He is also a certificate holder of Construction and Fire Safety Practitioners Training given by the Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHC), Total Quality Management Training by the Philippine Trade and Training Center (PTTC), and other numerous trainings, seminars, conferences and conventions.
Ar. EnP. Carlo has completed almost Fifty (50) design, planning, and construction management projects and commissions, in varying degrees and complexity. And, while being involved in corporate social responsibility endeavors as an associate of E.Florentino3 + Associates and with Habitat for Humanity Philippines in providing resilient housing for our less fortunate countrymen in Southern Philippines, Ar. EnP. Carlo Marudo also had the privilege of sharing his knowledge and experience in an international conference held in Ureshino, Japan last 2015 concerning Disaster Resilient Designs, as well as other speaking engagements locally concerning Construction Project Management and Construction Occupational Safety and Health.
Ar. EnP. Carlo is a member of the Philippine Institute of Environmental Planners (PIEP), the United Architects of the Philippines (UAP), and its local Quezon City Chapter (UAP-QC Chapter) both holding various posts of varying levels since 2005. An Associate Member of the World Safety Organization based in Warrensburg, Missouri, USA, and an Executive Committee Member of Eastern Regional Organization for Planning and Human Settlement (EAROPH International) with it’s head office located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, a member of The Lord’s Flock Catholic Charismatic Community based in Quezon City, and a faculty member of the University of Santo Tomas, (UST) College of Architecture in Manila.
